About Our Church

WE BELIEVE

The whole Bible is the inspired Word of God. It is a collection of 66 books written by more than 40 authors, and through these Scriptures God has revealed His will to humanity. In its pages, mankind is shown the way of life and the way of death, and every teaching points us toward understanding God’s plan.

The prophecy of Daniel 9 provides the exact timeline for the death of Christ, stating that it would occur in the midst of the prophetic week. According to Scripture, Christ was crucified and buried on a Wednesday. This aligns with the duration given in Matthew 12:40, where Jesus referenced Jonah—three days and three nights in the heart of the earth—and with the account in Matthew 28:1, which shows that Jesus rose at the end of the Holy Sabbath Day.

The Bible teaches that believers who have died are “asleep,” awaiting the first resurrection when Christ returns. The dead know nothing and remain in this state of rest. Those who do not die in Christ will rise in the second resurrection, where they will be judged according to their own sins.

Christ makes us holy and righteous through His atonement, and through Him we stand before God as though we had never sinned. This justification is possible only by faith in the redeeming love of our Saviour, for no human effort can earn such grace.

Sanctification is the state of being set apart for a holy purpose, a work that only God can accomplish. Yet believers also have a role in this process, willingly allowing God’s Word to shape their character and applying His teachings so that His ways are molded within their lives. It is a divine partnership in which God sanctifies, and we respond in obedience.

Glorification will occur at the first resurrection, when believers are transformed instantly—“in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump.” At that time, the trumpet will sound, the dead in Christ will rise incorruptible, and the living saints will be changed from mortal to immortal.

Baptism is practiced by immersion and symbolizes the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. Historically, immersion was part of the Jewish religion, and during the time of John the Baptist, Gentile converts were baptized as a sign of purification and readiness for the Lord’s service.

In 1 Corinthians 11, the Apostle Paul instructs believers to keep the ordinances as he delivered them. The Lord’s Supper is observed once each year at the appointed time, in remembrance of Christ’s sacrifice and in obedience to His command.

The Ten Commandments reveal the very character of God and are the only section of Scripture written directly by His hand. God’s Law is eternal and forever binding. Its importance is emphasized by the fact that when Moses broke the first tablets, God wrote the Ten Commandments again.

The second coming of Christ was taught long before the New Testament period. Enoch, the seventh from Adam, spoke of it in Jude 14. Jesus Himself repeatedly referred to His return, speaking both to His disciples and to unbelievers. At His coming, the Lord will descend from heaven with a shout, the voice of the archangel, and the trumpet of God. The dead in Christ will rise first, and those who are alive will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air. In this glorious moment, all saints will be changed and clothed with immortality.

Daniel 2 explains the dream of King Nebuchadnezzar, describing the stone that smote the image and grew into a great mountain filling the whole earth, symbolizing Christ’s eternal kingdom. In Daniel 7, we are shown that the Ancient of Days and the saints will take possession of the kingdoms of this world. Christ will establish His kingdom and reign on earth for a thousand years, during which Satan will be bound.

The plan of salvation is God’s way of delivering humanity from death—the rightful consequence of sin. Through His boundless love, God has rescued us by grace, offering an undeserved gift available only through faith in Jesus Christ. It is through this plan that we find hope, redemption, and eternal life.
